For installed equipment, include a clear model-code photograph. For new work, include voltage, motor current, load, environment, and control protocol. A useful inquiry also names the target market, panel standard, quantity, preferred enclosure, required accessories, delivery location, and decision date. If the motor operates above base speed, cycles frequently, drives a high-inertia load, or uses long output cables, describe those conditions rather than relying on nominal power alone.

Replies are organized as a project checklist. We distinguish information that is confirmed, information that requires the current series manual, and decisions that must remain with the qualified system designer. Documentation requests should include the complete type code because manuals, alarm lists, wiring diagrams, firmware behavior, and option-card details can differ across VFD families and revisions.

Send a structured inquiry

Do not include passwords or live facility credentials. Alarm codes should be accompanied by series, operating state, motor data, and recent changes. De-energization and electrical work require qualified personnel following site procedures.

For a fault inquiry, record whether the event occurs at power-up, start command, acceleration, steady load, deceleration, or stop. Include supply measurements, motor current, commanded frequency, actual speed where available, ambient condition, and the last configuration change. A remote discussion can help structure evidence, but it cannot verify live wiring, protective coordination, grounding, mechanical condition, or safe isolation at the facility.

For replacement work, attach the installed model label, control-terminal schedule, fieldbus option, enclosure dimensions, and parameter backup status. State the planned shutdown window and who will approve the commissioning test. These details reduce avoidable correspondence and make any proposed alternative easier to evaluate against the original function.
